How to Update Flush Mount Kitchen Light
Flush mount kitchen light – The concept of fluorescent lighting in the home was an unfortunate trend of the 1960s and 1970. While fluorescent lights are very bright, they are also cold and stiff, and suitable for retail or home business settings. They conveniently connected at its home circuit in exactly the same way as standard lighting, and can be easily replaced.
Turn off electricity to the old flush mount kitchen light in the fuse box. Remove the old unit by removing the screws holding it to the ceiling and separating the cable connections between the device and the electrical box behind him. There will be a black wire, a white wire and a bare ground wire left hanging from the electrical box.
Locate the mounting plate between the parties to the new light. It will be a flat piece of metal with holes in it. Already see the electrical box, align the screw holes, and fix it there with the screws provided. The exposed wire ends in the box should still be visible and accessible. Hook the end of the ground wire around the ground screw the mounting plate. Tighten the screw.
Hold the new flush mount kitchen light fixture near the electrical box. Keep the lamp cord next to the white wire from the box, so that the exposed ends of the wires are side by side. Place a plastic cover on both simultaneously, connecting them. Repeat for the black wires and light box.
